This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

IIP is a company in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) free zone. The UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) applies to how IIP handles personal data.
When IIP handles the personal data of people in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) also applies.
What we collect when you browse this website
You can read this website without giving us any personal information. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
- Hosting and security. Cloudflare hosts this website. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address and details of your request, such as your browser type and the page you asked for.
- Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits and see how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not track you across other websites.
What we collect when you contact us
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, organization and phone number, and an optional message.
When you send the form:
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person and not an automated program. It processes your IP address and technical details of your browser to do this.
- The website limits how many messages can be sent from one IP address in a minute, to stop abuse. Your IP address is used for this check and is not stored by us.
- Your enquiry is emailed to GDP's team at info@globaldiversitypractice.com. We use Resend, an email delivery service, to send it.
- A copy is posted to GDP's internal Slack workspace so the right person can pick it up quickly.
The website itself does not keep a copy of your enquiry. Please do not include sensitive information in your message, such as health, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.
Why we use your data
We use your data only for these purposes. Where UK or EU GDPR applies, the legal reason for each, called a lawful basis, is shown after it.
- To reply to your enquiry and follow it up. Our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To keep the website secure and stop spam. Our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our inbox.
- To count visits and improve the website. Our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. No personal profile is built.
Sending the form does not sign you up to marketing.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone. These service providers handle data for us, only on our instructions:
- Global Diversity Practice Ltd receives and answers enquiries on IIP's behalf.
- Cloudflare hosts the website, protects it from attacks, and provides the Turnstile check and visitor statistics.
- Resend delivers contact form enquiries to our email inbox.
- Slack is GDP's internal messaging, where enquiries are shared.
We may also share data when the law requires it.
Data sent to other countries
IIP is in the United Arab Emirates and GDP is in the United Kingdom. Cloudflare, Resend and Slack are based in the United States. So your data may be stored or processed in the UAE, the UK, the US or other countries. When we send data between countries, we rely on the protections the law allows, such as contract terms approved by data protection authorities.
How long we keep your data
We keep website enquiries and the correspondence that follows for up to two years after our last contact with you. Then we delete them.
If your enquiry leads to work with us, we keep the related records for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Cookies and similar storage
This website sets no cookies of its own, and it uses no tracking or advertising cookies. That is why you do not see a cookie banner.
The contact form's Turnstile check runs in a small frame from challenges.cloudflare.com. When we tested it, it set no cookies and saved one item, cf.turnstile.u, in that frame's local storage. It stays until you clear your browser's storage. Cloudflare says the signals Turnstile uses are strictly necessary to detect and block bots, so we do not ask for consent. Read more in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice.
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser's settings. If you block storage for challenges.cloudflare.com, the form's check may not work. You can still email info@globaldiversitypractice.com.
Keeping your data safe
Every page of this website, and the contact form, is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No system on the internet is completely secure. Ordinary email can be intercepted, so please do not send confidential details by email.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to limit how we use your data
- object to us using your data
- ask us to send your data to you or another organization in a common format
To use any of these rights, email data@globaldiversitypractice.com. We will reply within the time the law sets, usually one month. There is usually no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live. In the UAE that is the UAE Data Office. In the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
